Update: PNG Team's Final Preparations

London awaits Team PNG
With the games only a week away, the Papua New Guinea Team are slowly but surely making their way to London.
So far three members of team PNG are in the UK. Nelson Stone and Toea Wisil have been preparing well in Manchester. They will have their last hit outs in Wales, where Stone will run the Men's 400m and Wisil in the Women's 100m. Both will be running against quality opposition and good performances will provide them with a lot of confidence going into the games.
They are also joined by lone judoka Raymond Ovinou who continues to train well in Kendal. Taekwondo's Theresa Tona is also undergoing training in Europe. Finish off with competitions in Spain and then Germany before heading to London.
Our swimmers Ryan Pini and Judith Meauri have also been preparing well in Brisbane, Australia and will head to London this weekend. Pini has decided to only take part in Men's 100m butterfly. This is so he can concentrate on the one event and really give it all he's got.
Still in New Caledonia's Oceania Weightlifting Federation are weightlifters Dika Toua and Steven Kari. Both are also preparing well and will be the last of the PNG Team to head to London come Monday.

Here is the full team PNG taken from the National Newspaper:
