The Papua New Guinea under 19 Pukpuks yesterday secured 3rd spot in the Oceania Under 19 Championship with a 32-10 win over American Samoa.

As reported by FORU, it was initially a tight match, but in the second half PNG powered away to record a 32-10 win. American Samoa’s forwards were rumbling and PNG used their slick backs to separate the teams. Full back Hensley Peter sliced in at leisure and hooker Freddy Andale seemed to be everywhere to barge it up some more. Big props then came into play for PNG and the dominance was too much and the game was dusted.

For PNG Johnson Langogo continued his try scoring spree with another try, Ezra Kautu, Jude Kamano and Andrew Karai also got on the board. Emmanuel Guise converted two tries and Kitchani Thomas grabed one along with a penalty.

In the other matches the Solomon Islands took out 5th spot with a 36 point to 7 win over Vanuatu and the Tongans were crowned the Champions with a 17 point to 5 win over arch rivals Samoa.
