Medal Chances: Nil. Qualification would be a great achievement

The East New Britain Lass, first appeared on the international radar in 2006 and has been a beneficiary of an Athletics scholarships to the United States. Hoping to qualify for London, Burua spent three months on the Gold Coast before heading to Southern California. Whilst in Australia she set personal Best time of 12.13 in the 100m. She also ran a time of 55.33 in the 400m at the same meet. With an overall Personal Best time of 54.33, she needs to run under 52.35 to qualify for London. A long shot, but anything close to this would be a great achievement. 

Now that her studies have been completed, Burua can fully concentrate wholly on her running. Also Having clocked a personal best time of 24.23 for the 200m last weekend, in California. Another second off this time and she will surely book her ticket to London.

She is surely hitting some form at the right time and will need to rise to the challenge to realize her dream of Representing PNG in London.
